Self Assessment

  • The organisation’s mission statement explains our commitment to safe mobility. It states that: 1) we consider the epidemic of deaths and serious injury on roads to be unacceptable and preventable; 2) we work to ensure our use of roads does not cause death or serious injury; 3) we prioritise managing all risks relating to our use of roads; 4) any failure by us, or other people, that results in a road collision in connection with our organisation’s work will be rare, investigated and learnings applied and shared; 5) we will call for, and support, evidence-backed action by government and other agencies to stop road casualties.
  • The organisation’s mission statement explains our commitment to healthy mobility. It states that: 1) we recognise that vehicles are a significant contributor to poisonous air and climate change and that this is unacceptable and preventable; 2) our use of roads will contribute low, ultra-low, or zero, emissions (at a specified level that demonstrates ambition and the urgency of ending air pollution); and if not now, then by a target date that we work towards; 3) we recognise the value of active travel (walking or cycling) and the importance of everyone being active every day, and we work to enable people to achieve this; 4) we will call for, and support, evidence-backed action by government and other agencies to stop air pollution from vehicles and enable people to travel in active ways.
