Global Fleet Champions announces fleet safety conference

8 March 2019

The conference takes place at the Birmingham Conference and Events Centre (BCEC), Birmingham, UK on Wednesday 22 May 2019.

Road safety charity Brake has announced the agenda for its annual fleet safety conference as part of the Global Fleet Champions campaign.

Bringing together leaders from the fleet industry the conference enables fleet managers and suppliers to share best practice in managing work-related road risk and provides the perfect opportunity for attendees to network with their peers and industry specialists.

The theme for the conference this year is ‘Simply the best – prioritising fleet safety’. Presentations during the morning will cover topical issues including effective leadership, prioritising people and recruiting the best drivers. In the afternoon, delegates will have the opportunity to choose from a number of breakout sessions delivered by industry experts and academics focusing on risk management, drivers and vehicles. View the full agenda here.

Alongside the programme, a range of exhibitors from a wide range of service areas will be available for delegates to meet and ask questions to throughout the day. The Checkpoint Safety Business Lounge will provide an area for delegates to network, meet fellow delegates, take phone calls and email.

Sarah Plumb, senior fleet officer at Brake, says: “The conference provides an ideal opportunity to network and share best practice with industry professionals whilst hearing from leading fleet safety academics and operators. We suggest booking early for this well-established event to secure your place.”

Brake is inviting fleet operators and suppliers from across the world to attend the conference. Brake are offering an early bird ticket rate of £75+ VAT available until 31 March 2019.  From 1 April 2019 tickets will be priced at £95 +VAT.
