Brake has revealed the events that will run in 2022 as part of its Global Fleet Champions campaign.
A series of webinars, five roundtables, awards ceremonies and an international conference will be held this year as Global Fleet Champions returns to running in-person events.
The Global Fleet Champions Summit will take place in September 2022 in joint locations in Manchester (UK) and Auckland (New Zealand), for the first time since 2019. It will also be broadcast online.
The Summit will bring together industry leaders to share best practice in managing work-related road risk, with a programme focusing on the importance of government regulation and leadership.
Global Fleet Champions will also host two awards ceremonies with the Australasian Fleet Champions Awards and the UK Fleet Champions Awards, both of which will be held on Thursday 20 October.
These awards celebrate best practice safety and sustainability standards in fleets, and are open for entries now.
This year’s webinars will focus on specific elements of the five pillars of the Global Fleet Champions campaign: driver behaviour; incident analysis and intervention; journey routing and modal choice; community outreach; and vehicle procurement and maintenance.
The first webinar (Defensive Driving) will take place on Tuesday 22 March, closely followed by another event covering The Safe System and Fleets on 24 March.
Other topics covered throughout 2022 will include: running data-based investigations (24 May); planning journeys to share the road (19 July); incorporating road safety into your CSR strategy (27 September); and electrifying the fleet industry (29 September).
Five invitation-only roundtable events will also run this year, with summaries of key discussion points to be uploaded to the Global Fleet Champions website.
