Road safety charity Brake has announced the webinar programme for its Global Fleet Champions campaign.
The not-for-profit campaign launched in February of last year aims to prevent crashes and reduce pollution caused by vehicles used for work purposes. The campaign is completely free to join and provides members with training, tools and guidance on global fleet safety best practice.
Members can expect to hear from academic and practitioner experts on a range of topics throughout the year including effective driver training, managing the grey fleet and incident reporting and investigation. Webinars are completely free to attend.
The first webinar of the year ‘Driving in adverse weather conditions’ sponsored by MiX Telematics is scheduled for Tuesday 28 January and will discuss :
- the risks of driving in different weather conditions;
- how safe driving techniques and good vehicle maintenance can help minimise road danger during bad weather; and
- technologies to ensure drivers’ safety
The ‘Essentials of Fleet Safety Series’ based on the five pillars of the Global Fleet Champions campaign will also return in 2020 with brand new speakers and content. The first of the series concentrating on the Driver behaviour pillar sponsored by eDriving will take place on Tuesday 10 March. Sign up here.
