eDriving returns to sponsor Global Fleet Champions pillar

14 May 2021

Global driver risk management company eDriving has renewed its sponsorship for one of the five Global Fleet Champions pillars, co-ordinated by road safety charity Brake.

eDriving will continue to sponsor the Driver Behaviour pillar of the Global Fleet Champions campaign in 2021, having done so since 2019.

The five pillars of the Global Fleet Champions campaign explain the key areas of risk for organisations that employ people who drive for work.

The pillars are: Community outreach, Incident analysis and intervention, Journey routing and modal choice, Vehicle procurement and maintenance, and Driver behaviour.

Driver behaviour contributes to most road crashes, and is often the main cause. Speeding, driving while tired, distracted, or under the influence of drugs or alcohol, are all examples of dangerous driver behaviours.

If you have employees who drive for work, you need to introduce a road safety culture backed up by good policies, procedures and effective driver training and education, to keep your drivers and the public as safe as possible on the roads.

eDriving helps organisations around the world to reduce incidents, collisions, injuries, licence endorsements, carbon emissions, and total cost of fleet ownership through its digital driver risk management programmes.

It supports more than one million drivers in 125 countries around the world, and has previously contributed to many Global Fleet Champions webinars, including a recent one about Getting the most out of your telematics data.

Andy Cuerden, Managing Director (Europe) at eDriving, said: “eDriving is proud to support the Driver Behaviour pillar of the Global Fleet Champions campaign. We’re committed to helping organisations recognise the importance of improving driver behaviour as the route to safer roads, and utilise the tools available to do so. Our goal has always been to help drivers return home safely to their loved ones and communities at the end of each day.”
