Entries are now open for a Global Fleet Champions award recognising companies that have gone the extra mile to look after their drivers.
Road safety charity Brake is proud to announce the opening of registrations for the Global Fleet Champions Company Driver Safety Award, sponsored by eDriving.
This prestigious global award stems from the Driver Behaviour pillar, one of five pillars in the Global Fleet Champions initiative that outline the key areas of risk for organisations that employ people who drive for work. This pillar has been sponsored by eDriving since 2019.
The award is open to fleets from across the globe, and will be awarded to the organisation that has implemented initiatives that effectively enable drivers to be safe. Judges will also award education and awareness-raising initiatives about safe driving that extend beyond employees to their families.
It is free to enter, and entry forms and guidance can be accessed here. The deadline for entries is Friday 1 October.
The Driver Behaviour pillar focuses on the measures that fleet organisations can take to address dangerous behaviours like speeding or drink-driving, and encourages policies and procedures that help drivers understand the importance of safe driving.
Andy Cuerden, Managing Director, Europe, at eDriving, says: “As the proud sponsor of the Global Fleet Champions Driver Behaviour pillar we’re pleased to see this prestigious award go live and we encourage submissions from fleet organisations around the world that are working hard to improve driver behaviour as a route to safer roads for all.”
