Road Safety Week is an annual community event coordinated by Brake, the road safety charity involving hundreds of organisations, schools and communities engaging thousands of people in road safety messages.
The week is an ideal opportunity to engage with your at-work drivers, managers, wider staff and/or the local community, and to demonstrate your commitment to road safety. This spotlight session will provide more information on Road Safety Week 2023, and tips and ideas for getting involved.
This year’s theme is Road Safety Heroes, recognising all those who work to make our roads safer and support people following crashes.
It’s also a UN Global Road Safety Week. One of the focuses is sustainable and active travel, and Brake will be including messages around this topic as part of the Heroes theme.
This session will cover:
- details of Road Safety Week 2023 and the Heroes theme
- how to get involved in Road Safety Week
- what your organisation can do to make a difference to road safety in your community.
Who should attend?
Representatives of any organisation that employs people who drive for work, including:
- fleet managers
- health and safety managers
- transport managers
- HR professionals
The session is also relevant for road safety NGOs, fleet suppliers, insurers, fleet risk management and driver training providers.
This spotlight session is sponsored by Road Safety Week NZ sponsors:
