NZ Summit 2022 – CANCELLED

Managing work-related road risk

Thursday 15 September 2022

Beca Auditorium, Auckland

Auckland-harbour-bridge

Global Fleet Champions invites experts from across the fleet industry to attend the NZ Summit on Thursday 15 September at the Beca Auditorium in Auckland.

  • Share best practice in managing work-related road risk
  • Network with peers and other industry specialists
  • Discover new products and services

Whether you work in fleet and transport management, procurement, HR, or any other role where you manage people who drive for work, or you are a provider of products and services to fleets, this is a great opportunity to gain new insights into driver behaviour, the latest vehicle technology, and how you can make all your journeys as safe and sustainable as possible.

Expert speakers will also cover the importance of government regulation and leadership to help manage work-related road risk. Fleets have the power to prevent crashes and reduce pollution caused by work vehicles, but Governments and local authorities have the power to set higher regulatory standards for work vehicles and drivers.

Why should you attend the Summit?

In most high income countries, an estimated one-third of road traffic crashes involve someone at work. In developing countries it is likely to be higher.

For many organisations driving for work is the most risky activity employees do.

Work-related crashes affect workers in businesses of all sizes, in all industries, who drive all types of vehicles, regardless of whether driving is their main job task. These crashes also affect other road users who use the same roads as work vehicles. The human and financial cost to families, businesses, and the wider community are enormous.

Managing the risks posed by work vehicles also includes managing the risks and costs posed by vehicle emissions, which contribute significantly to air pollution and climate change.

What will you learn at the Summit?
